Adrián Maté (1981) develops his artistic practice through two connecting axes: the investigation of the aesthetics of Ecological Science and purely digital languages.

His practice combines digital techniques with mixtures that have their origin in the second half of the 20th century: Aerosol Paintings and Palete-Art. His language is connected with POP aesthetics and his inspiration comes from classic artists of the “bandes desinées”, with references, among others, to Tacconi and Hugo Pratt.

The evolution of his look, progressively wide and luminous, is accentuated by a personal selection of colors, music and style, he travels from fantasy to new reality.

With a degree in Ecological Sciences from the University of Edinburgh, from an early age he investigates the truth of the territory and develops an awareness of the natural.

His critical reflection is transformed into projects of scientific intervention and artistic activism.

The frontiers between Art and the knowledge of realities of pure natural environments are connected in the development of work as an ecologist and artistic visualization. The result is the confluence of spaces of solitude stripped of human presence: empty landscapes, streets, people, and one of the great engines of transformation and growth of the societies of the twentieth century: the automobile.

The beauty of automobiles moves him and guides him to review the history of the relationship between the human, the machine and the habitability of the landscape.

As from the window of one of these automobiles, his proposals are dreams, dream spaces that he hopes will become beautiful and natural again.
